EGMONT RACES. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. HAWERA, May 11. There was fine weather and a good attendance for the second day of the Egmont Races, and the course was good. The totalisator handled £25,008, against £34,730, making a total for the meeting of £49,146, as against £69,158. Results:— Ngamutu Apprentices’ Handicap.— Goldstar .1, Ben Nevis 2, Creme do Menthe 3.
