FALSE PRETENCES.

MAN COMMITTED FOE TRIAL. (Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, May 3. William George Rashleigh was committed for trial to-day on four charges of obtaining sums totalling £350 by false pretences. It was alleged that he represented that he had a milk vendor’s business ready for starting, and had secured premises at various centres, I and had engaged men as branch manai gers, and in each case they were requested to invest £lOO in the business. He pleaded not guilty.
