MAN KILLED.
DUCK SHOOTING ACCIDENT. AUCKLAND, May 3. John Henry Dean, aged 33, was shot on the Whangamarino River, near Iluntly, through the accidental discharge of a gun while he was duck shooting. He was placing decoys in position, and was shot through the heart, death being instantaneous. He was a married man, with six children, and a resident of Mercer.
