CANBERRA STRIKE.

A SETTLEMENT. SYDNEY, May 2. Mr Hughes agreed to the request of a deputation that the strikers at Canberra should return to work on conditions ruling prior io Easter. The rates and hours are to be referred to a tribunal for decision which will be accepted by both parties. (Received May 2, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 2. The Canberra, Federal capital strikers have accepted the Prime Minister's amended terms, and have returned to work.
