BUSH FOB JOB. .BV ENGLISH RAILWAY HEADS.. LONDON, March 30. Mr Barwell (South Australian Premier) has received 150 applications for the position of Railway Commissioner. This is an exceptionally large number. It is due to the British railways dispensing with many of their departmental heads, following upon the groupings and amalgamations. PEERESSES IN PARLIAMENT. A HITCH IN ENGLAND. LONDON, March 30. Lord Donougmorcmoved amotion that the House of Lords that tho House agree with the report of the Committee of Privileges regarding the eligibility of Viscountcss Rhondda to sit in the House of Peers. Lord Birkenhead moved an amendment to remit tire acse to the Committee in order that some points be rediscussed. It was a question whether the Act of Parliament, by proper legal interpretation, had made it necessary for their lordships to say Peeresses must be admitted. The amendment was agreed to without division.
