BARRY’S CASE. PUBLIC HOUSE THE CAUSE. LONDON, January 17. Ernest Barry, examined in bankruptcy, said that his liabilities were £1730, and his assets £2B. He attributed his failure to loss on a public house, and to betting transactions. He lost £6OO when Felton defeated him, but won £lOOO when he beat Felton in Australia. When returning to England to his hotel, he found a brewery bill amounting to £l2OO. He could not understand how that happened.
