The “Chronicle” states Air Samuels, of Spreekies Line, has sworn out a warrant, against Quartermaster Ducrest, charging him with theft of the Sonoma’s gold. Duerest has escaped. Ihe police who believe they are on hiS track, c.-jicct to arrest him shortly.
