ARGUS MACHINE FUND’

It is only by owning their own newspapers, and keeping them, free from lhe contaminating influence of capitalist propaganda, will the workers ever be able to combat the capitalist controlled press. The press of to-day is continually shaping the minds of the workers for more exploitation. Thus you have it that the workers starve because they have produced too much, food, go barefoot, and. in rags because they have made too many boots and suits of clothes. And while this is going on, the capitalist press,„ day in and day out, preaches more production —and yet more production. When the workers own their own press and closes their eyes to the capitalist and Imperialist propaganda they will own the world. We have macle a start here on the AVest Coast, we own our own daily paper, and we want the best machinery to make that paper so that we will be proud of it. The Argus Machine Fund Committee appeals to the workers to support the fund. Remember! Every shilling invested in this fund is another nail driven in the coffin of capitalism. Appended is a list of the subscribers up to date:—
