Lawn opposed this action as being unfair to the club which had asked him 1o be nominated. Air D. Dowell questioned the right of Air Harker to vote on this matter, as the Sub-Union was not yet formed, and the meeting was called for delegates of the clubs only. Therefore the club’s delegates only had the right 1o vote. Air Hagar challenged the secretary’s right to vote. Considerable discussion ensued on this pointy and then Alessrs A. Lawn and G. Alaunder left the meeting and decided to take no further part. The delegates present then elected Air Breeze, to the chair and called fresh nominations for president, Afr McGregor bein gelocted unopposed. The officers of the Sub-Unipn resolved to allow the Referees’ Association the right to a delegate on the SubUnion. The meeting night of the Sub-Union will be every “Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock at Alclntosh’s Club Booms. The fixtures will drawn next Alonday evening, and all teams must be ready to take the* seld on Saturday week. Afarists from Greymouth will meet the local combined team on Cass Square on Saturday at 3 p.m., Air At. Houston referee. The selectors for this year will be Alessrs AL Houston, T. Gillooly, amt AT. Keenan. Owing to rumours that Boss would be unable, to provide a team the secretary was instructed to write and find out if there was any truth in this statement before the fixtures were •I raw n.
