PARIS, -December 28.^ )Vhen King George visits Verdun shortly he will inspect a great . nocropolis, cohfcaining 40 huge tomb 9, representing 40 battles round Verdun , each containing Unidentified remains collected on 'the battlefields, .At. each ' corner of th ercecropolis a Catholic Chapel, Protestant Church, Jewish Synagogue or Musselman Mos-, que is jbeing erected. It is proposed to transfer unidentified bodies now lying ia' thousands in. various cemeteries around the town to the famous hill of Douamont, whose slopes will be a vast cemetery, einabling visitors at a glance ta^ppre-: ciate' the' ma-gnitude' of the struggle.
