RELIGIOUS INDIFFERENTISM.
V.M.C.A. ACTIVITIES AT ROME.

I (Rcc. December 26, 5.5»p_.m.) ROME, December 23. 1 The V.M.C.A., which has set up branches in Rome, has been attacked in a decree by the Holy Office. The decree asks the Bishops to watch any organisation which, while professing to favour absolute freedom of thought in religious matters, j-dt instils indiffercntism and apostacy to the Catholic religion in tho minds of its adherents. The decree specifically mentions tne V.M.C.A., which, it states, is upheld by many Catholics Avho are ignorant of it's real nature. The decree declares the V.M.C.A.. is corrupting the faith of the youths in Italy. It recalls the Canon Law which foit>ius those papers, periodicals, and organisations that aTe in favour of religious rationalism. It requests the bishops to communicate to the Holy See, within two months, the decisions taken at regional congresses to be held on the subject.
