LONDON, December U. Hooper seemed to tire towards the end, possibly due to the after effects of influenza. Christey is not the player he was when champion. The real test will bo when Hooper meets Fry, who has been in fine form lately. Playing a friendly game with Hooper, Fry recently scored 430 in four breaks. The "Sportsman" says that Hooper is far above tlio ordinary standard of amateur form. He showed rare confidence with the ivory balls, and mastered his big handicap surprisingly well.
