The Napier branch of the New Zealand Labour Party at its next meeting will consider the advisability of running Labour candidate's at the coming municipal elections.

In the debate on war. wealth and the capital levy at the Trades Union Congress held at Portsmouth it was pointed out that during the war 390,---000 persons had increased their wcalfcli by £2,050,000,000, and that £2,000,000,---000 could be obtained by a capital levy for the reduction of the National Debt. The interest on this debt is £600,000,000 annually.
It will be remembered that a Press Association message appeared recently in the papers stating that: — "An extremist was endeavouring to organise i;hc factory workers in South Tarauaki into a union, and that he was meeting with much opposition." To give the lie direct to this mis-state-ment, the truth is that this extremist (union secretary) has formed a factory workers » union with a membership of 200, and this number has every likelihood, of being considerably increased in the near future.
