Owing to the bad weather experienced yesterdoy, the. bar was unworkable, and it' is generally expected that there will be no shipping movements for some days/ Alexander, s.s., is due to-day from Wellington, via Westport. After discharge of general cargo she loads coal for Picton. Wainiea, s.s., will probably leave Weliingtoil to-day for Grejfmoutli via way ports. • Karamu, s.s., is shortly due at Grey to load coal for Miramar. Kowhai, s.s., is due* to-morrow to ship coal and timber for Wellington. Kaitangata, s.s., is expected to leave Auckland to-day for* Greymouth direct, and will be available for general cargo. On arrival she loads timber for Melbourne. . Kamo, s.s., is expected to arrive here to-day from Wellington. Kini, s.s., is due shortly from Nap""ier. Upon arrival she will load coal for Wellington. Kittawa, s.s., is due at the weekend from New Plymouth, to load coal for Wellington. The Ngakuta? s.s., sailed from Wellington for Greymouth yesterday. The Regtilus s.s., is due to resume ru.ming about December 1. The Waimea s.s., is due to leave "Wellington to-day" for Greymouth \ia tlie usual Avay ports. The Ngahere s.s., sailed for Greymoutli from Lyttelton. Mr. C. Murphy of Timaru, and late of the Addington Workshops has joined the Ngahere as third engineer.
