MYSTERIOUS SHOOTING AFFAIR,

CHRISTCHURCH, November 8.

Yesterday morning Mrs F. Mulaquin, a married woman,' aged 20, was removed to the Christchurch Hospital, suffering from a bullet wound in vho head. The matter was not reported to the police until the evening, and the woman's condition to-night is reported to.be satisfactory, but the bullet has not yet been extracted. There is a good deal of mystery attaching to the affair. Tlfe husband stated the shooting was purely accidental, and says the explanation he gave to the police <was accepted as satisfactory. Neighbours state that Mr and Mrs Malaquin lived very happily.
