September 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 11.— The Dublin City Council Magistrates have "resigned in a body as a protest against the Government's Irish policy. They adopted a resolution praying that -the Government be granted wisdom, to avert the widening breach by allowing McSwecncy to tlie. Five hundred recruits from England have arrived in Dublin to join the Irish police. ! AMERICAN ATTITUDE. I LEAGUE OF NATIONS SHOULD 1 DECIDE. (Rec. September 12, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 11.— The Democrat candidate for the United States Presidency, Governor Cox, said at Butte, that if elected, he ■ will bring the case of Ireland 's right to self determination before the League of Nations. As a friend of peace, he would feel it his duty to do this. Article Eleven of the Covenant made it possible for any nation to do this.
