COMMITTEE MEETING.

A committee meeting was held in the Star Club room on Thursday night. Present: Messrs Hefferuan (chair), Henry, Brimble, Wilson, Beaumont, O'Donnell, Bowman, and Captain Cox (.acting secretary). A wire was received from the In. angahua Sub-union stating that there was every prospect of being able to play |lte *sngj*est^d match! .on t<j| Prince of Wales' visit. Resolved that the visiting team be offered; £8 as travelling expenses for tho special match to be played at Greymouth. Resolved that the Senior and Junior games to be open, Third Grade, age limit 18 years; Fourth Grade, 16 years, i on April Ist. 1 Resolved that the various, clubs bo requested to nominate persons suitable as referees, with the intention of forming a referees' association, such names to be furnished at the next meeting. Resolved that Mr J. F. Wilson be appointed as West Coast delegate to me New Zealand Rugby Union. Resolved that Canterbury, Otago, 1 South Canterbury, Wanganui and Wellington unions ' be written to request, ing them to make provision when arranging their tours to include the West Coast, so that a match could be played at Ureyinouth. Rosolvcd that the Union heartily thank Mr D.' McKay for his offer to donete a shield for competition.
