In order to assist in tho provision of accommodation in Wellington dur_ ing the Royal visit, Mr J. Hislop, Un. der Secretary for Internal Affairs, has communicated with the Chairman o? the Wellington Education Board, asking whether the school buildings could be made available for the visitors to Wellington on the 3rd, 4th and sth of May, even if it is only to have shako downs provided on the floors.

The Chairman of the Board, Mr. 0. Forsyth, states that no objection -will be made in the case of three or four of the city schools, providing that every care is exercised to protect the properties from fire.
