AGREES TO ; GERMAN TRIALS

LONDON, February 17, , The Allied Supreme Council issued the terms of its reply to the German note of the: 25th Ja'iuaTy, re war trials, in which Note Germany set out that grave political and economic consequences were likely to arise through a surrender of war criminal* The Allied Powers, in their reply, record Germany's declaration of its inability to carry out the Peace Treaty in regard to the surrenders. They accordingly (they say) reserve power to employ rights which the Treaty accords to the Allies, but they note Germany's offer to immediately open. 'piii al proceedings before the Supreme Court at Leipsig against 'all those whose extradition was asked for. They slso note Germany's undertaking that the Court would be under" most complete guarantees, and not affected by other German judgments or - Court practice. They decide to allow German trials.
