Applicant had ■previousv been negotiating with the Lands Department and the Secretary read extracts from the Land Board s regulations showing that applications of"this nature could be dealt with by that Board only, and not by the Repatriation Committee. It was moved by Mr Morgan and seconded by Mr Tennent that .full par ticulars of the case be forwarded to the ..Ministrial Board, with the recommendation that the application, be granted if the Board has the pow-f er Ho do so. — Carried. Application fr>r £300 to complete purchase of a business repayable at the rate of £12 10s ncr quarter. Moved by Mr Smith and seconded; j by Mr Skoglund that the application be reeoanmeMVled for approval. — Carried.

The- officinl in question had come back and made application for reinstatement but had been refused on account of a breach mf the regulations.
