Interest attaches to the , eA'idence given to-day at the Npav South Wales Board of Trade's Enoviv as to a living Avasce. The Board is seeking to get information 1 that will enable a fair living AA'age to be determined. Father Maurice O'Reilly (Head of St. John's. Catholic College Avithin Sydney UniA r ersity) i n the course of his evidence, referred to the relation of Avages to families, but pointed out that the rich were those avlio chiefly refused to rear families. Father O'Reilly A'igorouslv denounced race suicide. The rich -women, he declared. Avould not go through the pain of motherhood, or nllow it to interfere Avith their social obligations.
Doctor Arthur said: "Th<» two-child faniilv means national suicide."
Other witnesses stated that the industrial Avorkers' families were much larger than the families of those aa'lio were in better circumstances.

The Dairy Conference carried a motion opposing Government contral, but accepting the principle of proposals creating a committee representative of all States to prepare a scheme for the bct!ter organisation of the. industry .
