AMERICAN CLAIMS ON AUSTRIA. SHIPS MAY BE RETAINED. (Rec: June 7, 5.5 p.m.) . NEW YORK, June 5 The "Evening Sun's" Paris correspondent says he understands that America will retain the Austrian ships seized in America at the outbreak of war. If the value of the Austrian ships * exceeds the United States' claims for damages against Austria, the United States will turn the difference into a repatriation (sic) fund.
