Lord Stanley in a speech at London, sketched a comprehensive policy for Hit creasing industria 1 efficiency after the war. He added: "We nlrrst take all possible steps for the co-operation of the dominions and develop their material resources. We must impruve inter Imperial communications) so that the Dominions, colonies and India shall find the best and most secure mafket here, and so that British manufacturers shall find ever-widening outlets fot* trade overseas. While there is? need for much Government action, it is most important that there should be ho attempt on the part of the Government to control trade and industry after the war, except during the transition stage.
