GAINS I NSEVERAL SECTORS
(Rec. September 19, 12.15 p.m.) . LONDON, September 18. Sir Douglas Haig reports that minor fighting' has" continued north-west of St. Quentin. We have gained ground in the neighbourhood of Holomon local. There have been encounters also on the- northern front. ,We have captured a German post west of La Basse, taking prisoners. We established new posts north-east of Neuvre Chapelle and in the neighbourhood of Ploegstreet. We repulsed raiders eastward of .Vierstraat. ■ , ' BULGARS ON THE WEST. PARTS, September 17.
