THE MINERS! BALLOT
Yesterday the various miners unions held ballots on the question of accepting or rejecting the mine-owners' offer of a wages increase of 10 per cent, to wages men and 7$ per cent, to contract men. The result cannot be ascertained until after all the returns have been forwarded to Wellington to the Central Executive for counting.
