GOING SLOW
WELLINGTON TRAMWAYMEN. WELLINGTON, .September 15. The Wellington 'iraimvaynien have rejected an oner of the Uty Council of ail increase wlucC they did not consider adequate, and now they have decided on what amounts to a slower work strike. Tiiey have decided in the first place that they will work no overtime, and this means that the publio.wiU have no extra cars in the rush hours. They have announced this decision but it is understood that they havo made another decision, which they are not announcing. This is that they will'" observe to the letter all the speed regulations. There are certain scheduled speeds allowed on certain lengths of track, but the men find, that, in order to keep their time, they must exceed these speeds every day that they are out. They, have resolved that in future these speeds shall not be exceeded. In any case there must be a decision on the overtime question before many days.
