Inquiry into the blowing up of the battleship Benedetto Brin led to the court-martialling of four survyvoni. three of whom boasted they partici-pated--therein from anarchist motives;, The fourth, named Carpi, confessed, he was solely tempted by Austria's money. Others went to Switzerland ahd received infernal clock machines, made in Germany ; bombs were subsequently i attnhed thereto, causing disaster. The evidence showed that all four belonged to a Secret Society, subsidised by \ Austro-German funds, for undermining., Italy's national defence. i
