THE FINAL SELECTION.
WELLINGTON, June 8. The following have been definitely selected to represent "the press of New Zealand, in response to the Imperial Government's invitation, to visit England, subject to their acceptance: — Messrs. G. Fenwick .(Managing Director of the Otago Daily Times. Dunedin), F. Pirani (Chairman of the Provisional Section of the Newspaper Propretors' Association), Hon. \V. Geddis (Editor New Zealand Times). C. Earle (Editor of the Dominion, Wellington), M. L. Reading (Editor of the Lyttelton Times, Christchurch). and R. M. Hackett (Editor of the NewZealand Herald, Auckland). Mr. S. Selig (Chairman, Newspaper Proprietors' Association) was amongst those nominated, but stated he could not accept, owing to pressure of busi- [ ness. Several other representatives ot 1 leading newspapers wrote stating they could not leave New Zealand at. the present juncture for the same reason. Mr. L. Blundell (Evening Post, Wei lington) was among those originally selected, but could not leave for private reasons. The first invitation mentioned five, but it is understood the number has since been extended to six.
