THE WEATHER
Eev. Bates reports : Atmospheric pressure increased in the north last night, but decreased slightly everywhere to-day. Cool and changeable conditions have ruled and squally and showery weather reported on east coast to-day, southerly winds have decreased in the north, but northerlies uoav predominated in the south. Present indications are for decreasing southerly winds in the north and fresheing nortl"/ erly and westerly winds elsewhere. Weather fair to cloudy, with increasing cloudiness for change to follow shortly southward of New Plymouth and Castle Point. The barometer is falling everywhere.
