May 29, 10.55 p.m.) LONDON, May 28, 4.15 p.m. A United Press correspondent reports thai the Franco-British were battling heavily on the heights :ibove the Aisne Valley, comparative quiet reigned along the northern part of the line except • south-eastward of Ypres where the Franco-British counter attacks to-day already practically .regained all ground won by the enemy in the initial onset yesterday, thereby thwarting the enemy's plans.
