(Rec. May 18, 5.5 p.m.) BERNE, May 17. The Austrian statesman, ijfeidler, told a deputation representing -strikers that the prospect of a general peued was not hopeless. The Kaiser was doing his best to bring about negotia~ tions. GERMAN TERMS. WHAT HAMBURG FAVCTURS. (Rec. May 19, 5.5 p.m.) 1 AMSTERDAM, May 18. The Hamburg Senate has forwarded to the Bundstrath, Hamburg's special war aims. TSFese include an adequate indemnity, preferably one consisting of raw material; an adequate German Colonial Empire; the payment of all foreign debts due to the Germans; the redress of a 5 the grievances of Germans abroad; the prohibition of boycotts and other hostile measures aimed at the German goods and shipping; and the re-establishment of ihe German mercantile marine on all oceans, with equal rights with the other nations.
