AUSTRALIAN CUP.— Defence 1, Star Comedian 2, Prince Bardolph 3 V Scr: Lingle, ;Sir Amy as, Blackwood. Prince Bardolph led almost from the start to the half distance, where Defence overhauled him, winning by a neck. Red, Pennant was fourth. Time 3.59. STEEPLECHASE.— Tinto ,1, Artillery Bell 2, Fleet Lady 3. Eleven started. Won by two lengths. Time 4.12. BOURKE HANDICAP. — King's Bounty 1, Patracia 2, Urka 3. Nineteen starters.
