THE WEATHER
Mr. D. C. Bates reports as follows: Present indications are for unsettled and showery conditions generally, and for heavy rain likely in the East Coast districts of the North Island. Kxpect high south-east winds northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and moderate to strong easterly to northerly winds elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady.
