RUSSIAN ARMY DISBANDED. LONDON, March 5. The "Daily Chronicle's" corerspondent at Petrograd states: The majorI ity of Social Revolutionists of the ! left end section of the Bolsheviks stilt favour a revolutionary war, but serious defence is impossible. The regular army, with few exceptions, is Hocking to the interior as far as possible from the invader. The bulk of the Petrograd regiments have sold their regimental property and divided ihe proceeds and gone" to their homes. The new Red Army is enthusiastic but raw, and cannot seriously resi.s the invaders. . The capital is uncannily quiet, lhe peace terms seem to have struck a blow at the national feeling. The Cadet Party has issued a manifesto declaring that the calamities and anarchy, deplorable as they are cannot be' compared to the horror of en- ' slavement, to a foreign yoke. It ap- \ peals to the country in association j ' with their Russian allies. PANIC AT HELSINGFORS. COPENHAGEN, March 5. The "Altenbladen" states that five thousand Russian soldiers have arrived at Helsihgfbi's, where Germany's action caused a panic. ' | German squadrons have assembled k at the entrance to tho Gulf of Finland A cruiser and three destroyers are reported at Autrer, in Southern Finland. Their activities indicate that a German landing is imminent.
