METHODIST .CONFERENCE
DUNEDIN., March 6. The Methodist Conference consider ed a report from the Wellington Methodist Educationa 1 Trust. Thi value of trust is £13,549. Th< trustees reported having bought land at Masterton for £1721 for an or phanage. The Conference recommended that pending building operation on the new site. the_ Trust be advised to^secura-a temporary buillding ii or about Masterton to start an ot phanage. Of £15,000 to be raised for foreigt missions, £900 was allocated to thi general fund and £3000 to the Nev Zealand working capital fund and th< balance to the Suspense Account to b used by the* Australian Board aftei approval by the New Zealand Foreigi Mission Executive. It was reported also that valuabli property in Auckland had been do nated for the benefit of the missioi and at present let at £3 per week. The donor alsq- r gave £200 to cove tli«* transfer. It is resoivod that a great effor to raise money for foreign mission be inaugurated by special meetings for prayer in all circuits and horn mission stations.
