HELP FOR A SPLENDID WORK.
Ever-increasing demands .call tot additional funds to support the service of the V.M.C.A. to our soldiers. . TU«i people of Now Zealand have now an opportunity of testifying to the ci* ccllent work which- the Young Men .'a Christian Association is dong for the I men on active service.. They .will* moreover, be practically assisting ■in that same good work, the value of which is no longer in doubt. There may have been some before the war who were inclined to /'tolerate" th> V.M.C.A. 'as "goody-goodiy'V they have now been converted. The Young Men's Christian Association has proved its t solid work in every military cump in the Empire. It has been the practical Christianity which has attended to the* comfort of the soldier- — physical, mental, and spiritual. The Red Triangle has been the symbol of assistance to th» soldier in every fcamp. If there is one thing upon which New Zealand is' determined, it is that everything possible shall be done for the men who are i fighting in our defence. Even then, we ! can never repay them. But . what can j be done for them we should carry out. j-The V.M.C.A.' is doing Its . best to attend to the wants of the soldiers. j The work calls for more funds. The people of the Dominion can help largely in removing embarrassment. They can, at the same time, publicly ack--1 nowledcp the value of the work which the V.M.C.A.' is doing. Both can be achieved by to the funds 'of the V.M.C.A. on Rod Triangle Day. ,
