Survivors state that the trawlers were carrying great quantities of food for submarines when suddenly they discovered that British warships had surrounded . them Their only escape was to Danish waters. The British fired 1500 rounds. Two German submarines and two seaplanes participated. The fate -of the submarines is unki.-own. ESCAPEES RECAPTURED. (Rec. September 3, 8.15 pm) LONDON September 2.
