Alfred Mond's Committee, appointed in 10 1 a to consider a war memorial, has recommended a" National Avar Museum on a vast scale, illustrating the campaign on sea and land in all theatres, the creation, equipment, and transport of armies, also civilian contributions to Avar, notably munitions. Women's share Avill be specially commemorated. A Hall of Honour is to be the central feature of the Museum, immortalising the greater figures. The Memorial Gallery will bea~r recovd of the names of the fallen and the special achievements of ships, regiments and contingents.
