FINDING OF THE COURT. WANGANTJI, August 24. The Nautical Court of inquiry into the loss of th» lighter Dorset off Kaiiwi beach on August 22nd gave its reserved decision to-day. The Court found that the accident was not contributed by any neglect of the harbour officials nor by any defect of the port. Having regard to the proved depth of the water the Court was unable^ to say what object the vessel struck." •> The master of the lighter 'Shamrock (Captain James Irvine) committed a. grave error of judgement in not going to the assistance of the Dorset when returning to port and there was unaccountable delay in the lighter Thistle going, to the Dorsets assistance.
