German official : Fighting activity has increased at Rijra and Smorgon and there is strong artillery activity on the Middle Stockhod and the Zlota Lipa. Russian attacks on the KovelLutsk railway failed heavily. -In East Galicia the battle continues across the heights on the. west bank ol the Strvpa. The Russian masses succeeded in extending northwards the jrap made in our lines the. previobs dav. Russian attacks at Konyurljy broke before our new position. The enemy did not repeat his attacks against ' the heights at Brzezany. '
