To look upon the sea of faces at McLean's Pictures last night one would find it hard to believe that there were so many people in Greymouth who had passed the age of 21 years. The occasion, was the first screening in Greymouth of the celebrated Pox star. ♦ ' Kreutzer 'a Sonata, ' ' from the literary production of tno same name by Leo Tolstoi. Though, the picture contains nothing which, I could by any stretch of imagination be deemed offensive", the censor had decreed that children should not be admitted. The picture itself was a visualisation of present-day happenings and can be described as a fine I production. The lesson it imparts is 'something which fills one with awe #nd grave concern. It is .an 6ft told iale which<if allowed to passunheeded will surely arise one day in condemnation of those who ignore.it". The picture, with its excellent supports, will be presented to-night for the last time, when the same conditions as to admittance will be rigidly observed. FRIDAY— A LASKY FEATURE. On Friday and Saturday Jjelse L. Lasky will produce a> specially selected company bf Famous Players in the big five-part drama fTo Have;; and to Hold, "a stirring story descriptive of the dicta tiye attitude of Jairies J. towards Lady Jocelyti Leigh,, his ward.
