' m — " THE LINER BALTIC. NARROWLY MISSES A TORPEDO AMERICAN DISGUISING TACTICS. (' 'Reuter's Telegrams") NEW YORK, May 15. A torpedo frpm a submarine narrowly, missed the liner Baltic on April lQth, while en route here. An American liner arrived to-day painted with white waves, with a leaded background, to resemble water. The passengers, saw a cruiser off the English coast firing at a IJ-boat but did not see the result.
