" Two German ofneers^bearing white flags approached the- Russian lines and were taken to Dvinsk blindfolded.

They interviewed General Dra&omirov and suggested" fixing a neutral zone for the purpose of peace negotiations. General Dragamirov bluntly rejected the proposals, adding that they involved treachery to the Allies, and sent the mission back to the German lines.
