OKARITO FORKS The annual spring stock sale was held at the above yards last week. There wa s an excellent yarding of for\vard store cattle and sheep. Prices were considerably in advantage on those recently recorded at store sales. The yarding of Mr M. Patrick was an exceptionally fine one, his 12-month old .steeus making • the record price of £5 11s each ami lik.e-aged heifers £3 2s Gd. There was a good entry of fat sheep but these failed to reach owners' ideas of value and were passed. A fine line of 2_year steers from Messrs Donovan Bros' run reached £11. The following arc the principal sales effected at: — On account Mr Thos. Nolan: — IS tee.rs at £S. On account Mr Jas. Green:— G steers at £8 ss. On account Donovan Bros: — G heifers at £7 17s Isd; 15 2-year srocrs tit £H; 0 steers at £10 3s Gd; 11 steers n-t £9 . 3s. On account Mr M Patrick:— 15 heifers (yearlings) at £5 2s Gd; 15 steers (yearlings) at £5 11s. 130 fat sheep off shears passed at £1 4s, 100 wooly sheep passed at 25s 7d.
