PATRIOTIC CONCERT j
j OPEKA HOUSE— TO-NIGHT. !. The Citizen's' Band has kindly consented to play through the streets and at the Opera House to.night prior to the grand Orchestral Concert, in aid of the local Patroitic Funds. The committee hopeo to sec a bumper, house, primarily, of course, to replenish its exchequer, but also in the hope that the public, who have so often, benefited by the free concerts of the Societv, will show its appreciation by 'attending in full force. The soloists of the evening will be Miss G. White and Mr Fvod Harloy. In arranging the busincsg details of the entertain- | ment, the committee decided -that the ladies of Grey mouth had done so much lately that it would be asking them too much to again enlist their services ■in. tho sale ol tickets, etc. [N"o mere .men* can fill the Opera House as the ladies can, but it" is hoped tha;t tho gentlemen of the town will .escort as many ladies as possible there to-night. They .are- to be made- as comfortable as possible and to enjoy themselves quietly without the excitement of the business part of the concert. The gentlemen will also see to it that the necessary spondulix is forthcoming. for tickets and so forth. Vert. Sahl v
