Lieut R. Tennent, who is attached to the 16th Reinforcements, arrived by the express on Saturday evening, on a visit to his parents, Mr and Mrs D. I Tennent. The following passengers arrived by the express on Saturday evening: — Messrs Tellaml, McCoimell, ;Denham, Smith, Cavanagh, Evans, Whaler, John ston, Pearson, Jinkens, Koam, Siift, Lukey, Johnson, Hamaesly, Hai-ker, Pavelka; Mesdames Johnson, Jinkens, Pearson, Wilson; Miss Marshal. Sergeant F H. Quinton, of the 4th Reinforcements, has arrived at Westport. He was badly wounded at G'allipoli, • losing his left eye, and receiving ' fifteen other wounds. After being invalided at Malta, he spent sev eral months in Bristol and London and returned to Christchurch early in Janu ary. He lias only just received permission to travel as far as the Coast, where he will spend a few weeks with his parents, Mr and Mrs. Quinton, of Waimangaroa.
