The British after an hour and ahalf artillery preparation on Sunday morning attacked with their entire forces from the right bank. The battle raged for six hours and the enemy after' immense losses penetrated a portion of our trenches. We bayonetted these and drove back the survivors to their own trenches. Prisoners state that the Thirteenth British Division, recently at the Dardanelles -suffered most.
