LOCAL CELEBRATIONS

PROGRAMME ARRANGED

At a meeting of the Patriotic Committee the question of celebrating Anzac Day Avas discussed.

It was resolved that a united memorial service be held on the afternoon of Anzac Day, Tuesday April 25th, at 2.30 o'clock, and that a patriotic concert lie held at night.

It was decided that Mr. G. T.

Moss be asked to arrange tbe con cert to be held on. the evening of Anzac Day.

A- subcommittee, consisting of the clergy of different denominations, was appointed to act in con junction, with the Chairman to draw up a programme for tlie memorial seryicc to be held on Anzac Day,- Mr McLean beingappointed to act on behalf of the Presbyterian Church owing to the .absence of the clergyman, representing that denomination.
