WEEKLY MEETING. I The subject under discussion at the weekly meeting- of the above Institute held in the old church, Guinness St. was "Is Party Government a Desirable System.' ' The attendance was -good, and after the business wa s dispensed with the debate was taken up with Mr. R. Tennent as leader, of the affirmative and Mr. Cairney negative leader A very pleasant evening was spent On a vote being taken the negative won with a .majority of one vote. Next Friday evening will be an open one. and it was decided that it should take the form of a mock Suoreme Couirt, and as this should be very instructive, as well as 'interestin.tr members are asked to attend .
