SYDNEY, Tune 14. Tucker Avas .released from iprison a few days ago. He forced his way into the house in the early hours of the morning. It appears *tfh'at he used a hatchet for killing his victims. He kept his wife tied to a bedpost for several hours, and then released her after killing Matheson. The mother and the boy spent twelve fritrhtful hours without food. There were frequent quarrels between the couple, terminating in Tucker striking her on the head with a hatchet. The blows were repeated after every groan till she "was dead, the boy burying his head in the bedclothes in terror at the sight. Tucker after shooting hinnseilf through the cheek, went to }..is sister's residence and thence to the hospital. He is likely to recover.
